Explaining it takes twenty minutes and ends in “that is a nice hobby”.
Nobody around you quite understands what you are building. Not because they are not listening, but because the thing that makes your work original is the same thing that cuts you off from the shared understanding.
Why the rooms did not work
Why the rooms you have tried did not work.
That understanding is mostly a method and a vision, but anything built genuinely around you is going to fall outside the norms. The standard fix is to hire a team and pull them into your model. You do not want a team. You do not want to be managed. You need people who work the same way you do, even if they are pointed at something completely different.
The people in your field understand the work and are solving the same problem you are. The people who do not understand the work at all can only offer encouragement.
Neither of those is what you are missing. What you are missing is somebody who understands how you can be supported without needing to understand what you do.
What the match is made on
Matched on purpose, not on industry.
Kindred matches on purpose, values and what you have decided to do about them. Not industry, not job title, not stage.
An illustrator and someone building a logistics tool have nothing to trade. If they are driven by the same problem and hold the same values, they have everything to say to each other about the part that actually needs accountability and collaboration.
A shared language
Everyone here runs the same underlying system.
There is no two hour consultation period. Your direction, and the behaviours underneath it, are already visible to the people who live in it too. Shared structure is what makes help possible between people whose work has nothing in common. This is not new. It has just never been built for you.
The view from outside
You cannot see your own track from on it.
Reflection tells you where you have been. Research tells you where other people have been. Other people tell you what you cannot see from where you are standing.
The person shouting from the side of the track is not more experienced than you. They just have a different view of it.
Your CraftMe
Built by you, owned by you.
You arrive with the artefact you built in Keel, or develop enough in Kindred to begin collaborating. So does everyone else. Same structure, entirely different content.
What accumulates is not a feed. It is a group of people working from an internal compass, held somewhere the next person can join in.
Kindred
Kindred is not yet live. The mechanism is settled and the shape is not. We are choosing a small number of people to decide what it becomes.
Decide what this becomes.
The shape of Kindred is genuinely open. If you have carried this problem, tell us how you would want it to work.
